Last week my fellow RCC classmates and I moved into the world of large format photography. The negatives for this type of camera are at least 4"x5". The camera itself is fully manual and a bit awkward to operate (just because it is so big). Not only that but you only get 1-2 shots (or a couple more if you have extra film holders)... but that's it! So you better be happy with your scene and make sure that you have all of your settings exactly right. I'm sure you've seen images of photographers standing behind a camera with a black cloth over there heads... well that was us last week.
Here's Abbi setting up the camera and taking her photo...
So none of these photos were actually taken with the large format camera but you can at least get an idea of our scenery...

Photo Safari
I took the kids on a photo safari downtown today! They each got their own point and shoot to operate and take photos of whatever they wished. We had a blast and they did an awesome job! I loved looking at their photos and watching them enjoy exploring their own creativity! Here are some of their very cool photos!

This is definitely on our will do again list! :)
